For the sixth year in a row, the popular Havana World Music Festival will be held in Metropolitan Park in Havana. Formerly known as the Esteban Salas Early Music Festival, this annual classical music event celebrates the life and work of one of the world's most influential composers and musicians. Founded in Santiago de Cuba in 1894, the festival is the largest and most important of its kind in the United States.
